VISA Requirements

A Dubai student visa allows international students to study and reside in the UAE for one year, renewable annually based on the course duration. 

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Receive Your Offer Letter:
    Secure admission at a recognised university in Dubai and get your official acceptance or offer letter.  

  2. Prepare Your Documents

  3. Gather the required documents:  
    - Completed Student Visa Application Form. 
    - Signed and unconditional offer letter from your university.  
    - Proof of tuition and visa fee payments (receipts). 
    - Colour copy of a valid passport (minimum six months validity).  
    - Recent passport-sized photographs. 

  4. Pay Visa Fees
    Visa processing fees range from AED 2,300–2,700, with an additional refundable security deposit of AED 2,500–3,000. Payment methods depend on your university or visa centre.  

  5. Wait for Visa Processing : Processing takes 10–15 business days. You will first receive a Student Entry Permit valid for two months to enter Dubai and collect your residency visa.

  6. Collect Your Residency Visa

Once approved, your visa will allow you to study and reside in Dubai for the course duration

Types of Dubai Student Visas

  1. Regular Student Visa :  Issued yearly and renewable based on your course duration.  

  2. Golden Visa : A 10-year residency permit for exceptional students with high academic or entrepreneurial achievements.  

  3. Green Visa  : A 5-year residency visa for specific categories:  
    - Skilled Employees: No sponsor required; salary must be at least AED 15,000. 
    - Freelancers & Self-Employed Individuals: Annual income must exceed AED 360,000 over the past two years. 
    - Investors & Partners: For those establishing a business or engaging in commercial activities.  

Required Documents

To apply for a Dubai student visa, you need:  
 

  1. A valid passport (minimum six months validity, with two blank pages).  

  2. Passport copies (4).  

  3. Passport-sized photographs(12).  

  4. Entry visa copies (3, upon arrival in Dubai).  

  5. Acceptance letter from a recognised UAE university.  

  6. Proof of tuition and visa fee payments.  

  7. Attested undergraduate degree (for postgraduate applicants, based on university requirements).
